The IAU 24-hour Run European Championships hosted in Timisoara is in its final 100 meters! The competition attracts a record number of 30 attending countries, represented by 180 athletes. They will be accompanied by their coaches, team managers, officials and thus the number of people in the foreign delegations reaches 320.
With respect to the number of countries, it is the biggest European Championship ever, with a record number of 30 attending parties: Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ireland, Czech Republic, Greece, Finland, Austria, Norway, Hungary, Sweden, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Great Britain, Denmark, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Croatia, Macedonia, Estonia, Turkey, Slovenia, Belgium, Latvia, Serbia and Romania.
The world record holder of the women’s 24-hour run competition, Patrycja Bereznowska from Poland (259,991 km), as well as other athletes with impressive results will arrive to Romania.
